Merry Christmas William!! This hat is for you and I will be sending it to you asap. The model however will remain with me. Looks like I finished it just in time…  I had to try it out on Snoopy first but it looks good on him.  I am posting this over on Scott’s blog so you can see it, can’t wait to see what it looks like on William.

William the Ham

Our son sends us a photo a day, via email, of our grandson William. We have decided that he is quite a ham. I have been collecting some of the best ones to put on the blog. Here they are, complete with the title our son deemed appropriate for each.

This past weekend Deborah took a trip to Alabama to meet her new grandson. He is perfect in every way, of course. After arriving in Atlanta on Friday afternoon, she made the drive to Montgomery, AL in time to have dinner with William and his parents. Here he is in his new hats she made for him.

The weekend was extremely busy and included a trip to the Marchio/Fillmer farm so they could meet him as well. The visit was wonderful, until Deborah was leaving and she accidentally backed over the Marchio’s dog Tanya. Miraculously Tanya was unhurt and the children learned a valuable lesson about being around cars that are potentially moving.

Sarah and Chris have a beautiful family. Here are some photos of the family and the farm.

The weekend was extremely busy and included a trip to my inlaws farm so they could meet him as well. This is my husband’s sister, Sarah, holding William. Having six children of her own I think she knows what she is doing.

On Saturday my mother, grandmother and step-dad arrived and we were able to take a 5 generation photo.

I consider myself lucky to have not one, but two such photos, as they are quite rare. Of course, once they all arrived I lost all holding privileges where the baby was concerned.

Sunday was a very long day that started at 4am central time with the drive back to Atlanta to catch my flight back to Denver (and then a 5 hour drive home from there). The long days were worth it though and I am looking forward to returning to Montgomery around Thanksgiving for another (short) visit.

This weekend I made a cover for William’s changing table. I had enough of the fabric left over to make him two pillows as well. Here is a picture of the pillow casing:
