Deb’s First Bike a Black Honda Rebel 250cc Motorcycle

Yesterday, Scott and I went to North Carolina to pick up my new Honda Rebel. Isn’t she pretty? We found the bike through ebay and decided to meet the owner up in North Carolina and have Scott drive it back home. I have wanted a motorcycle for a long time and we did a quick trade of assets and picked this bike up for a good deal. It was used, but only had a hundred miles on it and was otherwise in perfect condition.
We had looked at several different smaller motorcycles over the last several months and came to the conclusion that this would be the best bike for me to learn to ride, shift, and turn, while still maintaining control of a motorized bike. The Honda Rebel is a pretty tried and true motorcycle for years and years, it gets GREAT gas mileage, probably about 65-75 mpg, it is very light weight, and easy to ride for a person of any skill level.
Today, after church services we took it to the parking lot of Target for my very first ride. Learning to shift wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. I’m no biker babe, but it sure is fun! Now, where is the next bike rally so I can ride with the big boys.
