I was sitting at home. My cable TV was down so when I heard the news from a friend who called me we grabbed our little antenna and hooked it up. We had bad reception where we were at so we had to take the antenna and run it outside with a long cable. Then we sat around the TV most of the morning in shock as we watched what unfolded.

My prayers go out to all the family and friends of those lost that day.

Watching the 9-11 events on tv in the year 2008 is just as difficult as watching then in 2001. I never saw the first part of the attack as it happened because i was driving to the courthouse in Collin County TX to serve on a jury trial. We got the news of the second attack waiting in the jury room. One of the ladies there had both a husband and a son who flew for American Airlines. She was our main source of information and about the only one with a cell phone. The judge finally told everyone to go home and come back the next day. When we left the courthouse, it was completely ringed with deputy sherrifs and local police. It was a very strange feeling.

I remember being there with you and constantly looking out the windows of the bus at the parking lot wondering, as people were zooming by in their cars, "do they know what has just happened?". I just wanted to jump out and tell everyone that passed by what had just happened. Or maybe I just wanted to ask them if they knew in order to make sure that I wasn't stuck in some nightmare.

Great post!
